Even if you did graduate from your high school in May of 2020, there are still more than likely going to be people who graduated during that same time period. Most employers are going to want to see a portfolio of work experience at this point. The truth is that it is not always as easy as you may think to write a resume from high school.When I was in high school, I had a bit of an issue with self-confidence. I went to a pretty conservative Christian high school and the teachers, both in science and math classes, made sure that I learned the material, but I didn't know enough to compete with them in most of my classes. I never felt like I had much more to offer than my first grade reading level, which really wasn't that impressive to me.Writing a resume out of high school has really helped me a lot, though. Not only does it give me confidence to go back and show the potential employer that I still have a lot to offer, but it helps me write a resume that will stand out. This is one of the biggest mistakes that people make when they are trying to sell themselves. It may seem like a good idea, but in reality, if you get two copies of your resume, chances are the first two employers that looking at it won't even look at the other copies that you've got on file. There is no reason to invest your time and money in multiple copies of your resume when you can just submit a single copy to each job.Be patient. You are going to be writing a resume out of high school for a long time. If you need to take a break to go to the bathroom, or change clothes, or go to a meeting, then do it. Don't be lazy and let this be a huge time sink.Find out what the employer is looking for in a resume. Is this something that you can provide or do you need them to write it for you? There are a few things that you need to know when you are trying to write a resume out of high school. Write down what you can remember and then cross off the things that you cannot really do.Make sure that you do your research. When you are trying to write a resume out of high school, it helps to do some research beforehand. Go online and find information on previous graduates that are in similar positions as yourself. This may help you to know what kind of jobs are available and how much they are going to cost you.Try to put in a little effort and see if you can pull it off. The best way to be sure that you are doing the right thing is to spend the time to actually do it and see if you are truly doing it the right way.
